Option One:

Purchase a sizing kit.

If you are not pressed for time and prefer to have a physical set to size your nails, the Candy Paint Press sizing kit is for you.

This kit includes every nail size in the shape of your choice for you to accurately determine your custom fit. 

The process:

1. Order Candy Paint Press sizing kit for your size and shape. (Ex. Short Almond)

2. Once you receive your physical kit, measure each of your nails with the provided false nails and record on card to keep track.

NOTE: Sometimes one hand may size a little different than the other.

5. You are now able to order your set. Match your numbers to the provided Standard Sizes (XS, S, M, L). If a nail size is off, please leave a comment in the instruction box stating your custom nail size for the specific finger and hand.

For example:

If you order an XS set but your pinky is more of a size 8 than the standard 9, please state in the instruction box -> Left hand pinky= 8

Option Two (Faster Process): Tape Method

To avoid waiting for a sizing kit and to get your nails faster, consider the Tape Method! 

BE AWARE: There is more room for error when using the tape method versus using the sizing kit. This could lead to you ordering nails that do not fit correctly.

But do not fear! There are videos out there available to show you how to properly perform this method. Below is a step by step explanation.

STEP 1

Lay a soft tape measurer (like the ones used for tailoring and measuring the body) over the widest part of your nail pulling down tight over the curve of your nail. 

Write down the width of each nail in millimeters for each finger, at the widest part.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SOFT TAPE MEASURE...

Stick a piece of tape across the widest part of your nail pressing down firmly from sidewall to sidewall over the curve of your nail.

Mark on both sides where your nails meets the skin.

Pull the tape off your nail and measure the distance between your marks of each nail (thumb, index, middle, ring and pinky) with a ruler in millimeters.

STEP 2

Now that you've recorded the width of your nails in millimeters, use the below chart to determine your individual nail numbers (00-9) to the corresponding size kit to select (XS, S, M, L).

Standard Sizing (thumb to pinky):

• XS: 3, 7, 6.5, 6, 9
• S: 2, 6, 5, 5.5, 8
• M: 1, 5, 4, 4.5, 7
• L: 0, 4, 3, 4, 6

NOTE: Size up if you are in between sizes

NOTE: If none of the standard sizes fit your nail measurements, select "CUSTOM" and PLEASE leave your measurements at checkout in the instruction box! 

 

Example:(Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring, Pinky)

Right: 15mm, 13mm, 14mm, 12.5mm, 10mm.

Left: 15mm, 13mm, 14mm, 12.5mm, 10mm.
